Holding bags or shopping bags are the action performed in everyday women’ life, especially for shopper and housekeeper. Shopping, sometime hold a lot of bags and sometime few depend on occasion, women always unaware and buy a lot of things over their hand in summer sale season. Therefore, the bags and shopping bags over held and too heavy are the cause of shopper sickness.

 

Illnesses of shopper mostly occur with their back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, finger, etc. Because of carrying the heavy things for a long time frequently, that cause many symptoms such as

 

  • Painful muscloskeletal condition or Myofascial pain that causing from carrying the heavily bag on the back or holding many bags. Consequence to, the muscle work hard and shorten then the muscle at both shoulder and back pain and ache.
  • Knee pain and backache are the result of wearing improper shoes when shopping. Wearing the high heeled shoes and walking for a long time may make the ankle nerve called anterior tarsal tunnel pressed and feel numb on the thumb feet.
  • Nerve wrist pressed or Carpal tunnel syndrome may occur with women who like holding their bags or luggage on their hand or wrist (like Japanese housewife style.) That make feeling senseless on the hand, wrist pain, and on some case feeling numb on the tip of fingers (thumb, index, middle and the tip half of ring finger), or feeling pain like having an electric shock all the time. Critically the weakness of palm muscle can be occurred.
  • Rotator cuff tendonitis or Tendon swell at shoulder joint, elbow joint, cover thumb tendon or call Dequervian tenosynovitis can be occurred. And if still often holding heavy things, the cover finger tendon can swell and have some fascia at the finger joint that make the finger locked which call Trigger finger.

 

But all of painful and be relieved and prevented by

 

  • Avoid holing or carry the bags, should not use too big one because the big one can contain a lot of things then a lot of weight, change to medium size or smaller one which suitable to your body size is more suitable
  • Using deposit or locker service, or wheelbarrow of department store, you may need to use this service many times or drag the cart for a long way but it is better for your health. Bring your bag cart or small basket cart with you is fine.
  • Wearing the most comfortable shoes while shopping.
  • Exercise your finger joints, wrist, elbow, shoulder. Girl Shopper should do this exercise regularly preventing from spraining and inflaming of tendon easily. Start with exercise the finger joint, using thumb, index, middle finger close to the wall and climb up and down for 10 times, exercise the wrist by fisting both hand and opening up about 10 times and fisting and rotate the wrist around in left and right about 10 times too. Exercise the elbow by bending your elbow together like folding your arms over the chest, fist right hand while open the left hand to support the elbow, then forcing against for 6-7 seconds and alternate the side. Exercise shoulder by circle turning your arm front and back 10 times in each direction.
  • Using hot-cold gel message on the pain muscle such as around the shoulder. Using the cold press to low the swollen pain in first 1-2 days, and after that use the hot press to relieve the muscle softly. Using a massage cream, apply the painful reliever also helpful. But if the symptom is not better, should see the doctor.

 

Women and shopping are born in pair together, so next time you shopping, preparing yourself using this suggestions or find a boy for carrying is not bad.
